This article analyses the food-farming industry situation, after the Uruguay Round and the agricultural politic reform of the European Union. The paper identifies that both events, as well as, the globalization processes developed in the last decades, have changed they way the agro-entrepreneurs face markets' demands. This study focus in the Spanish olive oil industry, by analyzing enterprise strategies promoted by important multinational companies of the industry, such as the small oil mills (private and cooperatives), which are part of the first level transformation industry.
