Abstract

This paper analyzes the restructuration processes of food enterprises a general issue, particulary of the grease and oil Venezuelan industry. We analyzed the tendencies in the international context, as a consequence of the aperture and the integration economic processes. We present information of the analytic axis constituted by the following enterprises: Cargill (USA), Univeler (England and The Netherlands), Nestle (Switzerland), Mvesa and Polar . We analyzed the process of industry rstructure in the market level of acquisition and fusion. Results indicate that since the political aperture and aconomical integration carried out by the Venezuelan government, the process intensified and the concentration indexes of the grease and food industry increased. Finally, we examined the implications of the phenomenon over the sectarian complex of grease and food oil, particulary at the agriculture stage, exports, consumption and food safety.
