Experiencia de la mujer campesina en la acuicultura de Morelos

Abstract

The lack of financial self-sufficiency causes in a peasant women aquacultural unit production system at Morelos State, was analyzed. The prawn, Macrobrachium rosenbergii, and tilapia, Oreochromis sp., cycle production system was analyzed in order to evaluate most relevant components, such as, water quality, feeding, biological performance, work processes, and profitability and social benefit factors. It's cocluded that non-adequate management in the aquacultural system was the main cause for the lack of profitability, despite of the high impact in social benefit such as better life standard quality of the members unit production and their families.
