Abstract

In this article, the authors evaluate the management perspectiva and preservation of the agro-biodiversity usin geographical landmarks (GLs). Authors use two examples of distilled drinks, which have been selected through history using local varietes: Calvados in France and Tequila in Mexico. The article emphasizes the socioeconomic aspects that have influenced agricultural management and agro-biodiversity conservation. It focuses on GLs, agricultural management, the Calvados and Tequila improved processes, market growth and its influence in agro-biodiversity conservation.
