Abstract

The structure of porcine production in Latin America is analyzed, as well as Classical Swine Fever (CSF), status around the continent, pointing out porcine po pulation in each country. Strategies to control CSF are described taking into account failures ~d in different campaigns held around the world. A new model is presented in which interactions between different actors and factors that get together to make a succesful campaign against CSF are described, once the problems between actors and factors and solved
