Panorama actual de la producción comercial y aplicación de bioplaguicidas en México

Abstract

This rechearch offers a general overview of the bio-pesticide producing industry in Mexico. We reviewed the main actors in the production and commercialization of biological control agents to fight plagues. We also analyzed the main beneficial organisms for biological control offered in the market. Finally, we discuss the importance, usage and limitations of bioplaguicides in Mexico's agriculture as an ecological alternative to the indiscriminate application of chemical pesticides.
