Abstract

At the Second Worlwide Conference of Sustainable Development at Johannesburg, South Africa in 2002, a new discussion emerged about the cancellation of the unsustainable model of the « global apartheid », which the majority of the world population live and very few escape. In this context, we analyze the main results of the Johannesburg Conference. We reviewed the main posture about development and the international cooperation roles over this issue, advances and challenges are presented.
