Planeación sustentable del paisaje en Ecatzingo, Estado de México

Abstract

The establishment of estrategies to solve problems related to sustainable landscape usage and managementcalls for a new paradigm. A different one of that associated with the current dominant aproach of sustainable development planning. One which requires and get benefit from the transdiciplinary approaches, nowadays favored by the present views of sustainability. Taking into account the above mentioned, the authors present a methodology considers the landscape planning problem as a complex one, which is characterized by multiple objetives and criteria. The Ecatzingo, Edo. de Mex., municipality land use change is employed as a study case to show the methodology application. The solution alternatives obtained represent a feasible basis to order the territory, suggesting productive activities economically and ecologically viables.
