Abstract

Ornamental fishery in Mexico started 20 years ago as an important income activity for thr rural sector. Fish farmas facilities'under deficient management and production conditions are on risk, because of physical and chemical alteration causes environmental stress and favors bacterial diseases. We conducted an experimental research due to a high level of mortality in rural fish farms at the Estado de Mexico. under experimental conditions we producer environmental stress over angel fish (Pterophyllum scalare) populations. The folowing parameters were used: aeration, temperature, and presence and absence of the bacterium Vibrio fluvialis. Environmental changes caused 20% 40% and 60% mortality rates. Presence of Vibrio fluvialis produced 100% of mortality. Results indicate That environmental stress conditions cause a high number of outbreaks, which seriously affects family aconomy.
