The aim of this paper is to present four functional foods, fresh or processed and sweeteners or sugar substitutes of major supply and demand offered currently on the market. Apply on the food industry of the functional foods like: foods or products with content of fiber, antioxidants, omega -3, with or without some component, and some sweeteners. All of them actually offered to general population, particularly to elderly people. Has been successfully accepted on the market and the consumer knows them as healthy. It also suggests the functions on each type of food or products in the human organism, and health’s improvement regarding some generative diseases, and some data of human aging is analyzed. Finishing with the recommendation of consumption of this food for this age group improving their quality of life.
