Abstract

This article offers a critical reflection about three main rural development concepts: biodiversity conservation, development and local participation. It considers the restricted social an acological success as a result of the actual strategies and their cocepts: this work emphasizes the construction of alternative scientific paradigms in which rural social actors participation is fundamental. A conclusion about biodiversity dynamic and unpredictable aspects. They must break the actual generic character of politic instruments. Social actors prospects and their participation offers appropiate tools to understand them.
