Abstract

This article is focused on the economic analysis of small citrus producers of the state of Veracruz, México that own a small land use traditional farming technologies. On the basis of the data of an individual fran the model of economic yield of small farms was estimated using the linear planning model. It was found that the lime is a fundamental culturein the economy because it creates a permanent flow of cash. Moreover, the use of multiculturing (associated cultures) techniques permits a small grower to guarantee a certain level of food supply because at the same time it can produce crops that form his basic consumption together with corn and bean. oranges encountered certain difficulties to be a real option for this small producer due to their low price.
