Historia agraria en el ejido de Suchitlán, Colima

Abstract

This essay presents the agrarian origin of the Suchitlán, Colima Ejido, a native town located in the Comala County. The article describes the complexity of the agrarian history in Suchitlán which focuses on land conflict, community, large scale owners and agrarian authorities in and outside Colima. The author presents the communal land characteristics and the ejido creation; she also dexribes how the mestizos (mixed.persons) from neighbor communities invaded the land and removed the community members of Suchitan.
