La clasificación de los suelos por los Nahuas y zoque-popolucas

Abstract

This paper compiles and describes soil typologies of two different indigenous groups, Nahuas and Zoque-Popolucas of three Veracruz municipalities: Hueyapan de Ocampo, Mecayapan y Pajapan. Information was obtained using interviews and participatory discussions. In this case cultural parameters are considered more relevant than technical issues. Results show that typologies have useful and rich information not only about soil, but also about the vegetation and crops types that better grow there.
