Abstract

This article explores climate hazard perceptions from a comparative altitude approach in mountain landscapes with Avocado farmers. Throughout altitude rank we found several and different climatic hazards like freezing, hail-rain and drought episodes that could represent positive and negative sides as well as risk and opportunities in the same agricultural system. Climatic uncertainty is perceived like a risk from different perspectives between farmers regarding other factors that could impact farm production.
