Abstract

Abstract. The entomopathogenic fungi to infect produce metabolites like the hydrolytic enzymes and the cyclic depsipeptides. These enzymes degraded to insect’ cuticle but can also affect the fungal cell wall similar to antagonism of Trichoderma harzianum and other microorganisms used like fungicides. Otherwise, the depsipeptides have properties of insecticide and antifeedant activity that can kills the insect. Also, these fungi to be found in ecological niches with high diversity and competition synthesize antibiotics and antifungal agents that affecting biosynthesis of fungal cell wall, this metabolites are echinocandins, polyoxins and nikkomycins. All bioactive compounds listed can are used as insecticides or fungicides and they can produce by fermentation process. This it open new area of development agrobiotechnology according with to new trends in agricultural research a global.
