Abstract

Abstract. There are not data about blood density in broilers with or without ascities. An analysis were carried out in a broiler farmer at 2,200 above sea level in Teoloyucan México State. A Ross x Ross broiler strain at 49 and 56 days age were taken samples of blood randomized with a factorial arrangement 2x2, the factors were with or without ascities and the sex (male or female), with four treatments twelve samples treatment each at 7 and 8 week old, with a ninety six total blood samples. The blood density was increased (P 0.05) (1.0317 g/ml) in ascities birds that health birds (1.0081 g/ml), the blood density between sex was not different (P>0.05) to female (1.0188 g/ml) and male (1.0211 g/ml). This results indicated that ascities broilers had increased blood density, without differences in sex.
