Mujeres y agua. Reflexiones desde Morelos

In the current debate on water issues, social perceptions, are as a matter of first importance, nourishes our knowledge of the interests, demands and needs of different water users and social participation around water management. Given the complex picture of water scarcity and poverty permeating the daily life of families this paper approaches perceptions of women from Morelos water management. The central questions are: how do women live water shortages and how do they access the resource? How do they perceive the coverage and quality of water services? What is their level of knowledge of legislation in water resources? And how do they perceive the institutions responsible for water management? The answers indicate a discredit to the institutions of the sector, coupled with ignorance of the existing legislation.
