Abstract. The home garden is a reservoir of genetic and cultural diversity. This paper focuses on the analysis of gender relations at the home garden, conceived not only as a source of food and other socioenvironmental provisions, but also as a space for social relations. The paper analyzes the impact of some government policies on gender relations occurring at the home garden.
