La problemática de la citricultura campesina del Barretal Tamaulipas

Abstract

The citriculture in the Barretal illustrates an agricultural cycle that lasts decades and where success and declination is conjugated, the free trade with the state intervention and the peasantry with the commercial and urban sectors. The following problems are described and analyzed: unequal distribution of resources, differences in techniques in the productive process, the traditional commerce, deficiencies in organization for production, water availability and distribution, lacking of governmental credits, and institutions, the official programs for fertilizer support, the vegetal sanity, agricultural instruments, the quality of the orange, the social problems and the ecological problematic.
